Our rally is centered around a carnival theme. Entry is free but everyone must sign a safe driving pledge to get a bracelet that allows them to participate in each activity. There will be food for sale from local businesses and from other clubs as fundraisers as well as a DJ playing music for the duration of the event. The main focus will be on the prevention of distracted and impaired driving so we will have a seat belt convincer, a texting golf cart course, a DUI basketball shot attempt, and a DUI obstacle course with a serpentine scooter course, cornhole, ringtoss, and ball throw. We're also working on trying to get two monster trucks with safe driving messages on their tailgates to come and be on display for the crowd. In addition to the safe driving activities, we will have inflatables and entire area of children's games (pick a duck, kids' corn hole, etc). Safe driving organizations, local fire, rescue, & law enforcement, and local businesses will also be invited to attend and set up tables with giveaways and/or information. At the end of the rally, all activities will be closed down and everyone will be directed to hear our speakers. After the speakers, we will do prize drawings for an iPod, TV, and Kindle Fire but you must be present to win, thus ensuring that everyone stays to hear the speakers and the safe driving message.
