The Contest Scoop
From October 14, 2011 – January 31, 2012 you and your team are invited to enter the Act Out Loud contest to participate in three different activities that focus on stronger teen driver safety laws. After your team has completed the first two activities, your team will receive a toolkit to promote the final activity and National Youth Traffic Safety Month. All teams must enter online. Teams that complete all three activities will be eligible for the $10,000 grand prize.
How To Win
You and your team will compete in three different activities and will receive points based on school participation and project quality. Points will also be awarded to the teams whose entries are selected in the top 25 for each activity, and additional points will be given to the winner of each activity.

What Can I Win?
There are many opportunities to win throughout the Act Out Loud contest, with a total of $90,000 in cash and prizes waiting to be awarded!
ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER
The grand prize winner will be awarded $10,000, a private concert from rising musical artist Skyler, and a taped broadcast from their school that will air on Channel One News!
About Skyler
From these unusual beginnings, it should be no surprise that by 6th grade, Skyler was a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard); by 7th grade, he was sleeping on the couch, so as not to disturb the sanctity of the recording studio that his bedroom had become; or that by 9th grade, he had released his first full-length, all original CD. There have been many other stops: four more original CDs before high school graduation, 20 professional and repertory theatre productions, over 300 gigs (festivals, fairs, concerts, showcases), and a year at Berklee College of Music. With his recent EPs, “Take You Away” and “Long Gone”, added to his list, now at age 20, Skyler is releasing a digital EP titled "Take You Away - Nashville Remixes" featuring his hit "Stephanie" available on iTunes and Amazon on November 1st -- www.skylertunes.com.

A Facebook yearbook will be chosen at random and the 11 people in the photo montage will each be awarded $1,000 each.
